Hello friends,
We are sad to announce that we must cancel the 2011 Vancouver Rueda Festival. We are very disappointed as we were all looking forward to seeing you shaking it in our lovely city in October. We feel that at this time we are unable to create the fun, well-organized event that we all expect and we don’t want to deliver anything less to our fine salsa community. We lost two key members of our team this year – one to a new life in Toronto, and the other to school/work overload. We have been facing challenges with venues and production details and the two of us are finding it too challenging to troubleshoot such a big event on top of our full-time schedules.
No-one is more disappointed than us to have to make this announcement – we truly love being a part of this community and have every intention of continuing to organize events that celebrate Cuban Salsa. We’ve had a lot of fun bringing instructors like Marcos Ravelo, Isaias Rojas and Ryan and Sidney to Vancouver and working with local instructors, DJ’s and promoters who share our vision and passion.
To all of our out-of-town friends, please continue to visit us! We’ll happily throw you a party almost anytime 
And please continue to support the efforts of the other tireless organizers and instructors in our salsa family; there are many events going on during the year, please continue to attend them! We know we’ll be at many of them and we expect dances from all of you!
Again, we are truly disappointed not to be able to create this for you this time around, but hope to see you all very soon.
